The Marian Student Board consists of members from each class who are elected in a popular election by their classmates.
Elections are held at the beginning of every year. Members of this yearŐs Student Board are: Seniors Natalie Gartlan, Joanna Quigley, Tanya Nair, and Jill Leise; Juniors Megan Harmelink, Kate Mahoney, and Ann Young; Sophomores Mandy Miller, Jill Bechaz, and Liz Dyer; and Freshmen Pota Rakes, Katie Krause, and Maggie Pederson. The Board has meetings every Monday after school in the Student Board Room. It is the job of the Student Board to organize most student sponsored school functions. They also bring questions of the school to the attention of the faculty and administrati on.
Throughout the year, the Board sponsors activities for the student body.
So far this year, they have organized the Sept. 5 Welcome Dance, ŇDonutÓ feel good to be a Freshman Day on Sept. 18, Walk-A-Thon, held Sept 24, Gnimo-cemoh, which was Oct. 3, and th e Bonfire at ValaŐs Pumpkin Patch, which was Oct. 22.
