Winter Sports Briefs...

The Varsity basketball team will open its season on Nov. 29 at the Lincoln Jambouree at Lincoln High. Both the J.V. and Varsity teams will begin the regular season with a home game on Dec. 4 against Papillion/LaVista.

The Freshman season will open with a game at Duschesne on Dec. 8, followed by a home agame on Dec. 11. The Reserve season will begin with a home game on Dec. 6 against Gross.

Marian Swimmers have their opening meet at Burke High School on Dec. 9, and will attend the Burke Invite on the 12 and 13.

Bowling will not be a winter sport at Marian this year due to a lack of funds. Without the lunch profits, former coach Mr. Mike Sporcic said that it is too expensive to support the non-sanctioned teams.
