Marian's golf team is in full swing as fall approaches. The team is coached by Miss Faye Ford. Even though the eight member team is without any seniors, they are going strong with two juniors; Mandy Marchese and Katie Gerner, two sophomores; Annie OĠDonnell and Laura Richards, and four freshman; Darcey Riha, Lisa Morinelli, Maggie Broderick, and Jenny Vacek. The team practices two times a week at The Knolls golf course on 120th and Maple. "Golf is a fun way to meet other golfers and get good exercise," said Laura Richards, sophomore, who also golfed for Marian last year.
The team has competed six times so far this year.
Their record is three wins, two losses, and competed in a Lincoln tournament.
"I enjoy golf a lot. It is a good way to relax after a hard day at
school,"
said Mandy Marchese, junior, who has golfed for the past two years.
Their next match is against Bellevue West on Oct. 7 and is also at The Knolls.
