Who says you have to get all fancied up to go flaunt your stuff for the buff beauties at Golds? Our suggestion...stay at home! At home you don't have to worry about people laughing at you when you fly off the treadmill and you don't have to worry about your tiny arms being crushed under the five pound dumbbells when others are pumping their body weight.
No problem if you don't have a treadmill, expensive workout equipment, or even weights. All you need is your TV and your favorite WORKOUT VIDEO!!! "I workout to the Grind and Buns of Steel," said senior Hillary Detter. "Not only do they pump me up, but people don't have to watch me sweat."
Smiling at you from your TV set are the divas of the thong leotards and masters of the capri pants.
They are there for you to help you get in shape, tone up, and have fun all for a very low price. And the best part is no one will be able to see if you can't kick your leg above your waist, because you will be in the privacy of your own home! "Sometimes I dance to MTV," said freshman Paula Williams.
No matter if you prefer Tae-Bo with Billy Blanks, 80's style with Kathy Smith and Jane Fonda, Sweatin' to the Oldies with Richard Simmons, or even dancin' to the Grind, there are workout videos for everyone.
These videos stimulate the heart, get you in shape, and build your self-esteem. They even have specific videos for those hard to tone places. Junior Liz Sanders, who works out to Abs of Steel, said, "It's a good confidence booster."
We turned to workout videos when what looked like a short mile jog turned into being a harrowing fitness experience.
Not only were we out of breath after the first block, but we were tripping and falling on the rough road. So we turned to workout videos in our time of need.
While laughing at the pink leotards and purple tights, we felt refreshed, satisfied, and our buns felt like steel.
We don't need no stinkin' gym. All we need is a nice bottle of water, a TV, and our favorite workout video!
