Book Returns

The Bookstore reserves the right to refuse any book based on its condition.
Only those books in usable condition will be accepted for return.

Book Buy Back Times
The bookstore will purchase books back from students during the times listed below.

Seniors (in the concession stand)
  May 8 & 9 (Senior finals) 8:00 am - 3:30 pm
Underclassman (by the bookstore)
  Tuesday, May 27 7:30 am - 4:30 pm
  Wednesday, May 28 7:30 am - 4:30 pm

These are the only dates/times that books will be bought back. If these dates do not work for you, please make arrangements with a friend or family member to return your books.

Non-Returnable Books
Below is a list of books that will not be used by Marian for 2007-2008, and therefore will not be purchased back by the bookstore. Pay close attention to the editions listed -- some titles are still used, but certain editions will be discontinued.

Religion Math
  • Catechism of the Catholic Church
  • Understanding Basic Statistics (College Math)
Science English
  • No changes
  • Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass

  • Oedipus Rex

  • Virgin in the Ice
Foreign Language Social Studies
  • No Changes
  • No Changes

Other titles may be non-vouchered. When a book is non-vouchered, a student will not receive credit or money for the book until the book is sold. Books are typically non-vouchered when the bookstore has an excess quantity of the books on hand.

Transfer Students
Students who have transferred or who are planning to transfer may sell back their books to the school at any time after they have transferred. However, we will not process the book returns until the end of May. Please write your name in all books and verify that the school has your current address. You will be mailed a check for your books sometime at the end of summer. If you have any questions, you may leave a message at 571-2618 ext.143 or send an email to bookst@marian.creighton.edu.

Seniors
Seniors will sell their books back during their semester exams. The bookstore will be open from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm on both days of senior exams. Please write your name and the current year in each book before returning them. Also, bring your student ID with you. You will receive a check for your books sometime during the summer.

Returning Marian students
All students returning to Marian will receive a credit for returned books on next year's book bill. Please write your name and the current year in each book and bring your student ID with you when you return your books.
